Introduction 
This blog has been create by Charlie Lambert, a Student Currently living in Manchester attending at Futureworks University,third year. In order to show the progress of each project that will be complete charlie will be creating a blog for each project given to her. This Blog will talk about the project titled 'Honours Project' Given by Lecturer 'Ken Lau'.

What you want to achieve from the Honours Project?
What Charlie aim to achieve from undertaking the honours project is to gain a better understanding of 3D Environmental/prop creation, and to Gain the required skills to obtain a job in this area of the industry.
In order for her to get a job in the industry as a 3D Environmental/prop creator she will need to require the skills that the industry look for when recruiting. These skills and requirements are listed below:
  • Creating high-poly assets, then the conversion for an in game resolution.
  • Charlie must have a Clear understanding of normal mapping and the process of normal mapping.
  • She will need a high understanding of a UV Layout and how to get the most out of her textures
  • Well-Structured Composition of work shown in my portfolio
  • To show examples of lighting and how she can use this to make the most of my assets
  • How To Baking textures from a high poly model to a low poly one.
  • Knowledge of games development pipeline/environment/engines
Charlie will also need to gain vast knowledge of software such as:  
3D software,
  • 3D Studio Max
  •  Maya 
  • Z-brush
2D software,
  • Photoshop
To achieve these skills that Charlie will need to obtain for a place in the industry, She must Research these areas and look at artist such as:
  • Retopologising
  • Painting Realist textures
  • Modular Environmental modelling
  • Creating Normal maps
  • Z-brush
  • environment artist
